The GP500 projector is a fantastic choice for those who are seeking a projector with impressive features and performance at affordable prices. Its contrast and brightness are both excellent. It is able to display 3D images, but it is not recommended for rooms with dark lighting. It is equipped with many useful and convenient features, including autofocus and keystone correction. The GP500 is also very quiet and has a minimal input delay. It is a great choice for home theaters.
GP500 Gold
The GP500 Gold is a great choice for anyone who wants an attractive and sturdy mobility scooter. It offers a comfortable seating and a wide range as well as a good battery life. It also features an holder for phones and a bottle holder. The battery can take around 14 hours to recharge.
This projector is very good grayscale OOTB, with the smallest DeltaE errors being 2.3 (which is barely noticeable to trained eyes). It also showed subtle differences in color, such as when Adam struck the light stick against the ground.
Other features include 3D support, keystone correction and autofocus. My Mobility Scooters simplify installation and setting up. It also supports BenQ's standard configuration options. However, it doesn't have a lens shift or vertical focus. It does have the ability to warp digital images that can help in less-than-ideal installations, but it does impact the image quality.
GP500 Platinum
The GP500 is also equipped with a variety of quality-of-life and convenience features that are common, but some not so common like Keystone and Corner Fit, which digitally alters the image for poor installation and the Toslink audio out jack, which mutes the built in speaker when headphones or a different speaker system is connected, and Bluetooth that allows the GP500 to be used wirelessly as a music receiver music. 3D playback can also be supported.
Subjectively, I discovered that the GP500 had very accurate grayscale OOTB. I measured a DeltaE value of 2.3 which is lower than the amount that is visible to the eye. This is pretty good. The Dynamic Contrast feature really added depth to the nighttime scenes in Life of Pi and the color on display was excellent as well. Avatar was also awe-inspiring.
GP500 Black
The GP500 is Pinlock Max Vision-ready and tear-off-ready as well as opening tabs on both sides of the shield. It comes with a shield locking system to prevent it from opening during riding (or in the event of an accident). It has a double-d ring secureer on the back of the helmet, and it's non-tool-operated.
The auto-focus function was very quick and it worked well creating clear, crisp images with a variety of distinct shades. It struggled with the dark night scenes in Life of Pi, but otherwise, it gave a cinematic look.
There aren't any race-related graphics available for the GP500 but you can purchase Airoh Sectors and Cosmos with a black-colored finish. You can also purchase it with Rockstar Drive and Check graphics to give it a more track focused look.
GP500 White
The scooter comes with a lithium battery that is of the highest quality. It can travel for a long distance before it has to recharged. The battery can be easily removed to charge it remotely. This model also has strong puncture-proof tyres to help prevent flats when out and about.
The built-in DLP Link glasses can also be used to activate 3D playback. It's wonderful to know that this projector is still able to support this feature, especially considering that some brands have dropped it in recent times.
The GP500 White also has several common and some not-so-common quality-of-life features such as Keystone and Corner Fit (which is digital image warping). These can be beneficial for less-than-ideal installs as they make it easier to display an image in a flat format. However, they can affect the quality of the image. This is an important consideration to be aware of. The GP500 produced very clear and distinct colors and was a fantastic grayscale performer OOTB.
